Powerpoint over the planet Mercury! VERY EASY!
Solar System Object Research Project
SUBMIT POWERPOINT BY SUNDAY DECEMBER 6th before MIDNIGHT
You are to pick some object from our solar system and create a PowerPoint/slideshow about that object (like you did for element from periodic table). You will have your choice of easy things like planets or other planets moons, or more difficult objects like stars (like our sun), nebula, galaxies, etc. You can not choose Earth (as we will be discussing those things in the lecture material). If you know of something that interests you and are unsure if it is doable, just ask. Have fun with this project and create something to be proud of. This one is easier than the Element PPT. Please include the following and follow directions on how many slides, references, pictures, etc. are needed for your project.
Please include the following information, if you are unsure on anything please ask for assistance or clarification.
1. Name & Classification of Object
(common name, any other names it goes by, what type of object is it classified as)
2. Physical Description of Object (what does it look like, how big is it, etc.)
3. Location of Object in our Solar System or Universe (what is it close to, how far from Earth )
4. How was the object said to originate & end? (how did it form, if it has died, how did it die?)
5. Briefly describe the objects history
(who discovered, when was it discovered, how was it discovered, how did it get its name)
6. What significance does this object have in our Universe?
(what makes it special, what does it do that might affect us on Earth or our universe)
7. At least 5 interesting facts about the object you chose
(can be anything not already mentioned)
