Essay 1 (10 points): Topic Assessment
The majority of our semesters texts will serve to exemplify just how invested researchers are in studying social medias impact on critical thought, behavior, and value systems. Social media does not only influence what is said to, or shared with, others, but it also impacts how global conversations are being interpreted. For this essay, you will need to carefully consider what youve read on social media this year.
Prompt: Use this short essay to introduce the class to at least three different conversations (related or unrelated issues) you have seen across social media in the past six months, and explain which topic would be worth investigating further.

· Identify which platforms you have used and cite appropriately

Goal: To critically assess popular and current issues, take into consideration practical research methods, and determine which conversations are worth developing further in the academic setting.
