Reflect on how well your research problem meets the Litmus Test. At this point, you recognize that this is a work in progress, so identify what could be done to reveal a research gap better.
The existing research problem is to know who your friends are and friends are determined through Knowing of those who love doing the quizzes. The best way to come up with the friends that are going to help a person especially when it comes to matters of academic is through the use of a litmus paper test. Litmus paper is very vital in researching this problem that is existing in many of the schools. The operation of the litmus paper is just simple, and it occurs when a person is asked whether he likes academic work in general. Those that will say yes then they should automatically become the friends since they will help a person to grow academically. Those that are going to say no means that they will have failed the test, and through this, a person is not supposed to have such friends. If a person wants to excel in any field, he must work with people who have the same interest. Therefore when a person is choosing friends, they must be cautious since they will have impacts on the person.
Impacts can either be positive and negative because of the traits that these friends have. Litmus paper test is critical in carrying out this research and in most cases it is beneficial when it comes to such circumstances, (Said, et al, 2020).
Summarize the skills and subject matter areas you will need to master to expertly respond to the qualitative checklist for Chapters 1 through 3.
Description of the overall problem that is in any research there is a massive problem that in most cases it is not known, it is also to be chosen from the area that a person is interested in. The project addresses the problem that should be urgent, and each and every one should be aware that you are researching that direction. The researcher must be ready to summarizing the key questions. Many questions are always crossing the mind of the researcher when it comes to research questions. A person must be in a position of knowing how to identify the description of the problem.
The local problem that prompted the study should be localized, and through this, a person is always in a position to make sure that those that are near the research is happening should be aware since through this one is in a position to get first-hand information in which most of the cases happens to have some indigenous knowledge that may not be written
Criteria for selecting participants is critical that a person should be having so that the intended population will be the one that will be targeted and it will be the one that is useful in research.
There should always be a Justification for the problem. There are so many problems that happen in the world, and people must be in a position of causing justification of the problem. These are the reasons that made you choose that very particular research project. Any project and research that it has been taken, there are always Implications of the project. The research project should not be in a position whereby it is having many negative implications than negative ones, (Monaghan, et al, 2020).
· Propose a research question to be developed throughout the rest of this course.
Throughout the research course, I had come up with some research questions. These research questions may include; what is the relationship between the students attending classes and their general performance?, (Wolfe, et al, 2019).

ok we need to work on the RQ.
we don’t compare or look at relationships in qualitative research. We would use quant to figure that out.
we are asking students these questions right? they are the participants?
so what is THEIR experience you want to look at, as that is all they can share with you in an interview.
Peace, Debra

The research problem is to know and identify who one’s friends are and know the ones who can help you grow academically and separate the serious ones from those who are not (Wolfe, et al, 2019).. This is determined by knowing those who love reading academic materials or love doing quizzes and questions.
A Litmus test is a test carried out to determine the interest of one towards a general academic work or quizzes. Those that will agree to the question and say that they are interested in an academic work then are said to be friends since they can help one improve academically and those that will say no will have failed the litmus test and are said not to befriend. The basic and obvious reason of doing this is to know the types of friends that one will choose thereby determining the direction that one will take in life, that is, if your friends are not serious then there is a high probability that one will end up being the same, and if your friends are academically oriented then one is most expected to be the same and eventually excel in life (Said, et al, 2020).
Friends can therefore make one acquire negative or positive attributes. The importance of this test is to determine the types of friend that one has, this is very important when it comes to academic issues.
Summarize the skills and subject matter areas you will need to master to expertly respond to the qualitative checklist for chapter 1 through 3.
The main goal to any research is to identify a big problem that in most cases is not known to the researcher. The topic should be interesting to the researcher. While doing research, the researcher should consider a large number and options of questions and at the same time summarizing these key questions, using these questions the researcher should be able to come up with the description of the problem. (Wolfe, et al, 2019).
A research problem is usually identified by the area that the research is supposed to happen, this identified problem is usually the reason why research is done. The research should not happen without the knowledge of the people around the researcher since these people are the ones who will provide the researcher with the firsthand information. The participants of the research who are the fellow students should be carefully selected to avoid having unnecessary people in the research process, the academic level should be considered, the experience that they have on the academic resources and the type of input that they can bring in
For research to happen there should be a known reason for doing that particular research, different factors should be considered including, the cost, implications, time and the urgency of the same. The implications of the research should always be limited compared. (Monaghan, et al, 2020)

each week paste in your updated problem, purpose, and RQ
do we have an approved research question yet? We don’t compare things in qualitative research.

The research problem is to know how to identify the people that should be acknowledged as friends and those that should not. Hi Jaila,
Interesting topic! I’m wondering, do you currently work in the school system? Your topic sounds like the qualitative research method, ethnography, could be an option. With a research question using an exploratory verb along the lines of, How do students’ choice of peers impact their academic performance? (Creswell & Creswell, 2018). Do you currently know which qualitative research method you’d like to use? Just curious. Thank you!

Hi Jailya!
Maybe take a look at the matrix you developed to help identify specific components of your research that aligns with your suggested study. It looks like the realism approach might fit with your inquiry. It appears that you are attempting to establish some form of causality. Hence, this approach might facilitate your research question. It looks at causal mechanisms (Patton, 2015). You broadly identify your target group. Try to get a bit more specific relative to gender and other aspects that might facilitate your research question.
