Read the assigned reading from the chapter. Then choose ONE of the questions below to answer. Answer the question you chose in a response that is a minimum of 1-2 paragraphs.
Be sure to explain your answers and give reasons for your views. You should cite the textbook and use brief quotations and summaries from the textbook in your response. Do NOT use any other sources besides the textbook. 
1. Socrates said to his jurors, “Are you not ashamed that, while you take care to acquire as much wealth as possible, with honor and glory as well, yet you take no care or thought for understanding truth, or for the best possible state of your soul?”  Do you agree with this attitude?  Why or why not?
2. Choose one of your fundamental beliefs that you have not thought much about and write an argument defending it or rejecting it.  Be careful not to use any logical fallacies.
