1. For a simple sampling experiment it will be best to use the technique of simple random sampling with replacement.In such a case a sample is drawn from the population using random numbers or lottery system and every unit in the population has an equal chance to become part of the sample. Even if that unit has been chosen sampling with replacement gives the freedom to choose that unit again. It all depends on the equal probability of every unit being chosen in the sample.The simplicity of this method makes it very basic and easy to understand. Above all, every individual population unit gets an equal chance to be a part of the sample, so the sampling technique is fair with no bias.

2. My hypothesis is that high school students who eat breakfast before an exam score higher on the exam than students who skip breakfast that morning. I would use stratified sampling for this experiment. I would randomly choose 30 freshmen, 30 sophomores, 30 juniors and 30 seniors. Each participant would report whether they ate breakfast that morning or not, and their exam scores would be evaluated and compared. The advantage of stratified sampling is that each group is given equal representation. When you want to get samples from each group, stratified sampling allows you to do so.

3. The hypothesis I would like to use for my experiment would be simple random sampling. I would give 30 bodybuilders pre workout before their workout, and the other 30 would not receive any at all and record who had the better workout. At the end of their workouts, they would report whether their workout was satisfactory or not. Allowing for random sampling gives the person conducting the experiment an unbiased view.

4. A simple experiment from a population would be on the hypothesis of, do men and women shop more online on in-person.

There would be a group of 25 women and 25 men of the same socio-economical status.

They will be asked about shopping at a specific type of store, for this instance, it will be a grocery store.

The data collected from this experiment would be compared to determine whether men and women shop more online or in-person.

5. A simple experiment would be does wearing make-up everyday cause break outs. I would use 20 women around the age of 25. I would use stratified sampling for this experiment because half of the women would wear make-up everyday for one week while the other half does not wearing any make-up. I think this type of sample would work best because you have 10 different girls with different skin types and you could see how make-up can affect them all differently. This could benefit the results because for a person who might have really dry skin and to see that make-up does not really create acne or breaks outs. On the other hand for someone who has oily skin can see that results and think maybe staying away from make-up might help their skin. I think there would be a good variety of results for others too see and relate to for this type of experiment.
