Question 1: Business and workplace conditions in Tesla Company
Every business is entitled to ensure that the working conditions for their employees are suitable and are able to protect them from any physical, mental or social harm. I will be focusing on the working conditions in Tesla Company. Like all other companies that engage in competitive business, Tesla is one place that is not easy to work. This is characterized by the long hours and surprisingly working under the Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk who tends to give the workers a hard time (Matousek, M., 2020). From the comments that were given by some nine employees that formerly worked in the company between 2008 and 2019, I was able to find out that they were not pleased and were actually happy when they finally left the company. All the employees were very upset because of the toxic environment that the CEO put over them.
I believe that employees that work in an environment free of stress and a worthy environment will be more productive. Unfortunately, Tesla Company lacks this since the conditions seem to not fit the one people expected. For instance, since the year 2014, there were more than a hundred ambulance calls to the premises because the workers experienced dizziness, fainting spells, abnormal breathing patterns, seizures and chest pains. In addition, more cases were because of injuries and other medical matters (Wong, J. C., 2018). In that case, I believe that Tesla could do the following to improve on its working conditions; first, ensure that the team members and leaders are good ones, ensure the lighting is perfect, make the office and entire premise confortable and also improve on the communication (Freedman, M., 2020).
