Scenario Overview :

Budget management is a very serious issue, either it is for a single person or business. The purpose of app will be to keep track of all expenses, revenues, cut point. Everyone wants to optimize their savings and expenses, that’s the main push for developing this app. It will include charts, different customizable models to be used according to need. Development is basic part but after completion of app development, promotion and continuous development is the main part to make ongoing process.

Use Earned Value Management for your Project to find out:

a) Cost performance index (CPI).

b) Schedule performance index (SPI)

c) Estimate at completion (EAC)

Answer:

Suppose we have a budget of 5000$ to complete the project to sell services to customers.

As mentioned in Gantt Chart, the amount spent is 2100$. At this point of work, value of Cost Performance Index is: 0.42

As mentioned in Gantt Chart, at the end, amount spent is 5300$. At this point, value of cost performance index is: 1.06

On the basis of Gantt Chart, the actual plan to complete the work is in 2 months. But the work is completed in 1.5 month. So the value of Schedule performance Index is: 0.5

Estimate at completion has a value of: 283.01
