Paper Content – 90 points

For this paper you will be comparing the healthcare system of the US with that of another. Select a country of your choice from the list below:

· Japan

· Germany

· India

· China

· Thailand

Compare the healthcare system in your chosen country with the US healthcare system on the following topics:

· Access – In your country of choice how easy or difficult is it to see a doctor? What factors impact access to healthcare? How is this the same or different within your chosen country and the United States?

· Delivery – In your country of choice how is healthcare delivered? How involved in the private sector in healthcare delivery? The government? How is this the same or different within your chosen country and the United States?

· Financing – In your country of choice how is the system financed? Who pays for what within the system? How is this the same or different within your chosen country and the United States?

· Policy – In your country of choice who governs the system? To what extent is healthcare regulated? How is this the same or different within your chosen country and the United States?

· Quality – in your country of choice how is quality of care measured and defined? What is the level of quality of care? How is this the same or different within your chosen country and the United States?

· Technology and Research – In your country of choice how advanced is technology? What role does research play within their system? How much importance is given to technology and research? How is this the same or different within your chosen country and the United States?

General Requirements – 10 points

· Write at least a total of 5 pages. However, if your information is on point, clear, and complete, I will not pay attention to number of pages. If you have taken my class before you know I prefer quality over quantity. Please make sure your answers are supported by facts.

· APA format (5 points): Please make sure to cite your sources, including the textbook. There is no required number of sources, however, these questions cannot be answered without referring to available literature. I expect everyone to have appropriate references, as well as in-text citations. Make sure to double space, type in Times New Roman and size 12 font.

· Grammar (5 points): Please write complete, coherent sentences. Make sure to spell out words correctly. Please write in third person point of view.
