5-1. Explain why it is important that the project manager and project staff have detailed information on each work activity
For better project management it is very important for the organization to ensure that project manager and project staff are fully aware of the detailed information about the project and also about all the activities that are being executed in the project. As we know that for managing any project first we should understand about the project and customer requirements in order to plan and execute the project in a particular manner that all the requirements are being attended properly and completed the project effectively and efficiently which is the objective of any project manager and project staff.
5-2. Explain why authority on a project has to be defined and communicated with the project stakeholders and project staff
When the authority communicates the detailed information about the project with stakeholders and project staff, they can simply able to explain the roles and responsibility of each and every person easily and explain what they need to do.
Regular communicating information with the stakeholders and project staff eliminates the chances of a misunderstanding about the project objectives and requirements which can be very harmful for the project and organization itself.
When every stakeholder and project staff are fully aware and informed about the project it is very easy to understand the shift in situations and help them to make changes in their contribution even if anything specific changes in the project activity.

5.1) While planning for the project, any schedule discrepancy can create numerous issues for the entire project be it cost, time, or conflicts between the different teams, project phases, and stakeholder management as well. It is why having detailed information on each activity, with its expected time, expected variance, etcetera can provide a better view of the entire project as a unique process. We know that both time and cost implications can run high and therefore a risk exists that the project is not able to meet the needs of the stakeholders or runs a chance of becoming unmanageable due to the same conditions. Most project schedules are tight and made with the expected variance in mind; any further delay would mean more money has to be spent to deal with the errors introduced through it and therefore, we need to have all the information regarding any activity in the project primarily if the activity represents the critical path.
5.2) It is critical to define the authority and communicate with project stakeholders and staff as:
It helps to streamline the flow of decisions and ensure all are aligned
It minimizes the chance of conflict and confusion in the project
It helps to assign the responsibility and make an individual or group accountable for the assigned task
It provides clarity to people as to whom to approach in case of challenges and conflicts
